COVID-19 action taken in the district

Sri V. Vinay Chand, IAS., District Collector, Visakhapatnam has designed and established 20 committees to fight against COVID-19.
Conducting review meetings daily with the 20 Committee members and giving instructions to control the effect of COVID-19 in the District.
Regularly Monitoring the FR’s and NFR’s Quarantine History.
Continuously monitoring the police check post history with the Commissioner of Police and Superintendent of Police.
Regularly visiting the District and State COVID Hospitals and closely monitoring the facilities over there.
Inspecting the Police Check Posts at restricted zone areas and getting information about the public movement in the area.
Conducting the COVID tests for the sake of the front line workers and other officials who are working in the field level.
Conducting the door to door survey with the Volunteers, ASHA workers, ANMs and others staffs to know the health status of the public.
A team of Task Force officers has been appointed for monitoring the prices of the essential commodities regularly.
All the inmates who were shifted to the Community quarantine centers in GVMC and Rural areas is being providing the basic amenities i.e. Healthy food, drinking water, sanitation material etc…and instructed the sanitation workers to keep the close monitoring round the clock to maintain hygienic hospitality at the centers.
