About Digisaksham

Digisaksham is a public-private initiative to upskill the jobseekers for better employability across India. The initiative is a collaborative effort of Ministry of Labour and Employment and Microsoft.

It aims to upskill the workforce of India through free training courses on select Information Technologies (IT).  The project will substantiate the government’s ongoing efforts to protect the interests of youth, specifically from rural and semi-urban cities, by up-skilling them to enhance their employability skills.

Courses offered

The courses are short-term trainings conducted regularly in an online mode. The course instructor interacts with the students and provides students with the course material and recorded classes. Students have to appear for an evaluation test after completion of the course. After successful completion and obtaining passing marks, the students are awarded a certificate.

Currently the following courses are offered

  • Essentials of Microsoft Excel(MS Excel)
  • Essentials of Java

How to access the courses

Users need to Register/log in using National Career Service (NCS) portal Username and Password to take the course. National Career Service (NCS) portal is the National Employment Service portal to provide a variety of employment related services like job matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, apprenticeship, internships etc.

On successful registration in the NCS portal, users can sign in the Digisaksham Portal to access the courses.
