Apply for Residence Certificate
Residence certificate is proof of permanent residence of a citizen in a village or town or ward. This Certificate is required as proof of residence to avail Residence / Resident Quotas in educational institutions and in the Government Service, and in case of jobs where local residents are preferred.
How to apply
- Applicant must visit the “Facilitation Centre, DC Office, Mamit“ to apply in person with the documents specified under the documents required session.
- Visit the respective office. Submit the completed application obtained from the office or can be downloaded from the link below: Residential certificate
- Authorities after checking the attached documents and details submitted will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
- This application will be verified by the respective authorities as per DC instruction.
- There will be a ground-level verification and scrutiny of the documents and details provided.
- Once the verification is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective DC to decide and issue the certificate to the applicant.
- The applicant will get the certificate in 15 days after due verification.
Documents Required
- Original Voter ID (for verification purpose), a Xerox copy , self attested is required. Or a Xerox copy of the voter ID attested by A gazetted officer .
- Children below 18 can bring their fathers Voter ID.
- Incase of death of father , divorce then, you may use your mother’s Voter ID,and Birth Certificate is required.
- A consent letter from Local Council/Village Council.
- Two(2) Passport photos.
